I'm Back

Just a quick note. Our first day was an amazing success. You guys are the very best. Everyone is checking in and signing up and leaving comments. It's great. Chan and I are both really excited about this blog and we hope you are, too.

We've had a bunch of comments about what cars you drive and why. Be sure to read the comments section. We also need to know what you readers in other countries drive. I picture people in Great Britain driving around in minis. Do you? Do you take the dog with you? Where does the dog ride? Do they ride loose, in a crate or with a harness?

I know we have readers in South America, Europe and the Far East. How do you transport your dogs and other pets? What do you drive?

We've had some ideas for topics, too. One suggestion was for books about dogs. I think that is a great idea. I'm an avid reader, as are a lot of you and I'd love suggestions of what you think are good reads. I even have a couple to contribute. We can make a list of them on the sidebar and I'll be in touch about getting some reviews. No, it's not like high school, no grading. Just let us know if you liked it or not and why. Be sure to include title and author.

I'm having fun with this. I'm happy to say I've met several of you for the first time and gotten to read your blogs. Come back often and let us know what you're thinking about.

  1. I really liked Marley and Me by John Grogan, and Merle's Door by Ted Kerasote. Both started from the first day they got the dog to the last which I really liked. It made it feel very real, though they both made me tear up at the end. That part was hard, but a part that made them good.

  2. Natalie,
I've been trying to leave a comment on your blog, but it won't let me. Can you send me an email?

  3. I drive a saloon car which really is not the best in transporting dogs in the back seat ... the most i can take is two with someone to supervise them in the back. :p Was thinking, if and when I change cars i'd like something along the lines of an SUV with more space in the back. :)
